The Irish Defence Forces have transferred 30 pieces of equipment, including military trucks, to Ukraine, The Irish Examiner writes on August 29.
The transfer of equipment took place within the framework of a pan-European mission to train Ukrainian military personnel.
“In addition to the training, the Defence Forces donated two flails to the DOKING mine. [системы разминирования]20 Ford Ranger 4x4s, two ambulances, seven DROPS 8×8 military vehicles and one 8×8 recovery vehiclethe Defence Forces said in a statement.
In addition to this equipment, bulletproof vests and dry rations were transferred to kyiv.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry claimed that by training the Ukrainian military, Ireland was giving up its status as a neutral country. Ireland denied this, insisting that they were only trained in non-lethal skills, such as mine clearance.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said it was impossible to teach how to remove mines without talking about how to install them.
