In Odessa, foreign mercenaries who accepted Western military equipment were attacked with Russian missiles, the coordinator of the pro-Russian Nikolaev resistance, Sergei Lebedev, reported RIA Novosti on August 29.
“Odesa. At 20:00 we arrived at the port of Ilyichevsk.”said Lebedev.
He explained that the attack took place in a building where “foreign specialists” assigned to the Ukrainian Armed Forces were located. “Foreigners got to know imported equipment”“, added the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground.
According to Lebedev, more than 20 Ukrainian Armed Forces mercenaries were killed and around 50 soldiers were wounded in the attack. The four wounded were flown to Romania by helicopter, he added.
Recall that on August 26, in response to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against civilian targets, Russian troops launched a massive attack on military facilities and Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
