The accounts of Telegram Vice President Ilya Perekopsky have been frozen in several banks by Russia’s Federal Tax Service (FTS), RIA Novosti reported on August 30, citing data from the BIR-Analyst service.
The suspension of operations affected the accounts of the companies Order of Magical Technologies LLC and Pogrebok u Dokichev LLC, of which Perekopsky was the founder. Both companies are inactive. The reason for the introduction of restrictions was the failure to submit tax returns and the non-payment of tax arrears.
It is reported that Pereskopsky was also a co-founder of the company Durov LLC together with Pavel Durov. This company was liquidated and has no debts to the Federal Tax Service.
Recall that after Durov’s arrest in Paris, several French media outlets claimed that Perekopsky was also included in the materials of the case initiated against him and his brother Nikolai. They did not say whether an arrest warrant had been issued for the Telegram vice president.
