16-year-old Jahmari Reed was decapitated by a shark while swimming in the sea. Montego Bay, off the coast of Jamaica on Monday. Jahmari’s body was found missing its head and left arm, according to the report. Mirror.
The young man went spearfishing on Monday at 6am and the remains were found the next day (Tuesday) at 9am by fishermen who saw Jahmari’s body floating in the water.
“When he didn’t return at the usual time, we became concerned. A search party was organized. The first thing we saw was his head, bitten off and torn from his body. Then we saw his arm before we found his body, mauled by a shark,” said Robert Robinson, the teenager’s uncle. Mirror.
Jahmari Reed’s mother, Laverne Robinson, says the young man “has been going to the sea since he was a child and loved it.”
Locals believe Jahmari was attacked by a large tiger shark that was seen in the water near where the young man’s body was found.
Since then, fishermen have been trying to hunt the shark.
