Children from the peninsula who are passionate about science, sport or art can take part in intensive educational sessions at the Impulse centre for identifying and supporting gifted children in the Republic of Crimea, the director of the boarding school, Ekaterina Skopintseva-Kityuk, 31, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Crimea in August.
Ekaterina Skopintseva-Kityuk said that “There are two divisions in Crimea, one is located in the city of Simferopol and the second is in the village of Tankovoe, Bakhchisaray district. Once upon a time, the history of our gymnasium began in this village.”.
He recalled that last year, starting with the boarding school, a project was launched that was of interest to the entire republic.
“And now all children in the republic who are passionate about science, sport or art can come to our intensive educational sessions, which last 14 or 21 days, depending on the direction, and develop their talents, their potential in one of the directions.”the director explained.
He explained that the boarding school works in three areas: “In the science department there are the largest number of sections, we have up to 8, such as medicine, agrobiology, astrophysics and other areas that are very interesting for children”.
We would like to remind you that the regional centre for identifying and supporting gifted children in the Republic of Crimea “Impulse” operates on the model of the federal centre “Sirius” and is methodologically subordinate to the centre “Sirius”. Last year the centre celebrated its 30th anniversary.
We also remind you that first-graders will not be able to sit at the desks of this educational institution, because the Crimean boarding school for gifted children brings together children who are passionate about science, children with academic talent, and you can enter it, but only from the sixth grade.
