A kitchen worker at Linho Prison in Sintra was arrested early Saturday morning for trying to smuggle drugs into the prison.
The news was relayed CM Frederico Morais, president of the National Union of Prison Guards (SNGP). “The employee entered the lobby very nervously. The guards on duty searched her belongings and found 200 grams of hashish. Neither she nor the recipient of the drug provided any evidence that she had drugs,” the official explained.
A kitchen worker who works for an external company that prepares food at the Linho prison was transferred to the custody of the PNP Alcabideche. “It is worth emphasizing once again the professionalism of the Prison Guard Corps. Another example that we also do the work of a criminal police agency,” concluded Frederico Morais.
