The military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia have opened a criminal case in connection with the forced landing of the An-2 aircraft in North Ossetia, the official telegram channel of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on August 31.
As it became known, on August 31, while conducting a military-sports exercise scheduled after the launch of six paratroopers into the mountainous region of North Ossetia, the An-2 aircraft made a sudden emergency landing. At the time of contact with the ground, there were 13 people on board, including three children.
During the emergency landing, three adults and one child were injured of varying severity.
The Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case. The An-2 that made an emergency landing belongs to the DOSAAF sports and aviation club from Vladikavkaz. Investigators suspect that the aircraft was used in violation of traffic and operational safety regulations.
The progress of the investigation was under the control of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee.
