School assemblies on the occasion of Knowledge Day in Sevastopol will be held only for grades 1 and 11, Director of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos said in an interview with the ForPost news portal on August 31.
According to him, school assemblies will be held on September 2 and only one parent of each child is invited.
These restrictions are associated with the potential threat of rocket launches.
“The events of recent months show us the need for a faster response to emerging threats”said Krivonos.
He pointed out that otherwise there would be too much crowding in school yards that could not be quickly removed from the open area.
The official said special measures will be taken for the safety of grades 1 and 11.
“We are now working on an emergency evacuation of the school yard.”said Krivonos.
