Croatia has transferred the DOK-ING MV-4 robotic mine-clearing system to Ukraine, TASS news agency reported on August 31.
According to the report, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Ivan Anusic presented the keys to the system to Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy Igor Beskorovainy and Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Sergei Boev during the GLOBSEC forum in Prague.
Anusic stressed that Zagreb actively supports Kyiv in the field of mine clearance, both bilaterally and internationally. He mentioned that Croatia participates in the international coalition for mine clearance in Ukraine, initiated by Lithuania. Anušić also reported on the significant success of the donor conference to be held in Zagreb in 2023, where almost 1 billion euros were raised for mine clearance.
Since the start of the Special Military Operation (SVO), DOK-ING has already delivered 42 robotic mine clearance systems to Ukraine and trained 150 mine clearance specialists. At the NATO summit in Washington, Croatia announced that it would provide military aid to Ukraine worth 66.6 million euros in 2024.
