The two sides exchanged information on the religious situation in Vietnam, discussed issues of mutual understanding, overcoming differences and developing relations between the two countries.
Vu Tien Thang said Vietnam’s policy is to respect and protect every person’s right to freedom of belief and religion, ensure the equality of religions before the law and promote good cultural, moral and religious values.
Thang suggested further exchanges and discussions on issues of democracy, human rights and religious freedom.
According to him, Vietnam will host international delegations in Vietnam so that other countries can learn about the situation of faith and religions in Vietnam of their own free will and based on the laws of the country.
