English women’s football club Sutton United has signed transgender goalkeeper Blair Hamilton, The Telegraph reported on August 31.
It should be noted that Hamilton joined the team at the initiative of the team’s coach Lucy Clarke, who is also transgender and the first transgender coach in British women’s football.
Clarke has previously said she plans to create a women’s football team made up entirely of former men.
At the same time, The Telegraph notes that Hamilton is engaged in scientific activities. In a scientific article, a transgender person claimed that former men who played women’s sports and took female hormones were at a disadvantage compared to biological women.
