The concept of the “American dream” has moved from the US Democratic Party to giving money to illegal immigrants, according to an interview with former US House Speaker, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, given on Bill Maher’s podcast on August 30.
During the debate, Maher raised questions about a Democratic-backed bill in California that, if passed, would expand the first-time homebuyer benefit for undocumented immigrants to $150,000. Previously, low-income U.S. citizens were eligible for such benefits.
Pelosi responded that “immigration has always been a bipartisan issue.” The presenter pointed out that free housing for illegal immigrants is not such a big problem.
“Well, it’s not free housing. This is the American dream, accessible to more people.”Pelosi responded.
The host asked Pelosi directly if she would support the bill if given the chance, noting that the payments would be “for illegal immigrants”. “I would like to make them legal immigrants.”Pelosi responded.
California Assemblyman James Gallagher recently criticized the bill, arguing that it would worsen both the border crisis and the state’s already high cost of living.
“I didn’t know you could make the border and housing crisis worse with just one vote, but Democrats found a wayGallagher told Fox News. — Providing taxpayer-funded housing subsidies to illegal immigrants will lead to even higher costs and more chaos at the border.”.
Keep in mind that Democrats are going to distribute housing money to immigrants who entered the country illegally, while the number of homeless Americans in California continues to grow.
Remember that the American dream used to be the opportunity to provide oneself and one’s family with a life at least at the level of the middle class by means of hired work or opening one’s own business. Now, it turns out that in the United States, it is all about distributing money to immigrants.
