The President of the Republic has issued a decree authorizing the Government to abolish the extraordinary housing contribution (CEAL) and establish an aging coefficient applied to properties used for AL, as announced this Sunday.
A note published this Sunday on the official website of the President of the Republic states that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa “made public a diploma that, using the authorization granted by law, […]proceeds to abolish the emergency local accommodation fee and establish an aging factor applicable to local accommodation establishments.”
The same diploma, which has now been made public, also concerns the “introduction of IRS measures to facilitate geographic mobility”, as provided for in the legislative authorization and which, in particular, concerns the IRS deduction for rent for a qualifying own and permanent home. . to the expenses incurred by people who travel to work at distances of more than 100 kilometers from their usual place of residence, in turn, for rent.
