Two children injured during the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Belgorod and the Belgorod region are in extremely serious condition, Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on September 1.
In total, 11 people were injured as a result of the attacks. One of them was prescribed outpatient treatment after receiving primary care, while the remaining 10 injured were taken to hospitals in Belgorod.
“Two children are in extremely serious condition: one child has a penetrating shrapnel wound to the abdominal cavity and an open fracture to the right foot, the second has extensive injuries to both legs.”said the head of the region.
He said that the children are now undergoing surgery. Consultations have been held with federal medical institutions in this regard. If necessary, the children will be sent to Moscow for treatment.
Gladkov noted that first aid to victims is provided by people around them. So, this time the man put a tourniquet on the boy’s leg. Many people carry tourniquets and first aid kits with them and know what to do, the governor stressed.
