Moscow and Minsk are working on a new list of cooperation projects in the aviation sector, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik said, Belarus 1 TV channel reported on September 1.
“Today we are developing another group of projects, also in the aviation sector, which will guarantee the long-term use of our companies and the return on investment that we will obtain.”the ambassador noted.
According to him, Russia has already allocated 105 billion rubles in loans to launch high-tech production and upgrade capacities. In addition to aircraft manufacturing, roadmaps have been adopted in the areas of machine tool manufacturing and microelectronics.
The ambassador also noted that in the first half of 2024, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $25 billion (2.3 trillion rubles). This figure is growing and will show an increase by the end of the year.
It should be recalled that earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow is interested in Belarus’ participation in the joint creation of aircraft.
