Cryptocurrency trading and the issuance of digital financial assets (DFA) are not included in the Moscow Exchange’s plans, Nikolai Trunichkin, head of digital projects and products at the exchange, said on September 2, RIA Novosti reports.
“The Moscow Stock Exchange has no plans to trade cryptocurrencies”– said Trunichkin.
He noted that the Moscow Exchange is not considered an issuer of DFA either.
Trunichkin said the exchange is focused on creating infrastructure for a new market for issuers and investors, excluding the possibility of participating in other aspects of the market at the current stage.
Recall that on August 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing, starting September 1, cross-border cryptocurrency exchange operations and settlements in the country within the framework of experimental legal regimes.
