The birth rate in Iran was 2.5 times higher than the death rate in the 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (as of March 21, 2022), according to the country’s Civil Registry Office (ZAGS), 19 February, Iranian newspaper Tehran Times writes
Since March 21, 2022, the civil registry has registered 893,786 births and 347,450 deaths. 462,058 boys and 431,728 girls were born.

In the budget for the current Iranian year (March 2022 – March 2023), 120 billion rubles have been allocated to implement plans to stimulate the birth rate and support the family. Iranian rials or about $300 million (22.5 billion rubles).
In particular, the law increased the duration of maternity leave to 9 months with full payment of wages and bonuses. In the case of the birth of twins or twins, a woman can enjoy maternity leave in the last months of pregnancy, in which case the duration of the vacation will be up to one year.
Iranian car manufacturers are obliged to provide a car at factory prices for mothers who have given birth to a second child. Families with three or more children receive land.
An increase in allowances for children and families by 50-100% is provided for employees of relevant institutions and social groups: the army, the intelligence ministry, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, teaching staff of universities and institutes investigators, judges and retirees.
