Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine planned to evacuate residents from the border areas of the Kursk region, RIA Novosti reported on September 2.
“At first they wanted to send us to Ukraine. I think that if we get there, definitely nothing good will happen and obviously we won’t survive. They already brought some kind of military equipment to load us up and take us to Ukraine.”said a local resident.
At the same time, Ukrainian militants did not explain to people how they could return to Russia.
“But something changed for them, they were told something on the radio, they got excited, they got scared, they got upset, something bothered them. And there they began to carry their wounded soldiers.” – added the witness.
Residents of the Kursk region were assigned. “draft car”in which they were able to leave the border area.
Recall that the invasion of the territory of the Kursk region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place on August 6, 2024. The enemy’s advance into the interior of the country was stopped.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, more than 7,800 Ukrainian servicemen, 75 tanks, 36 infantry vehicles, 64 armored personnel carriers and 15 rocket launchers were destroyed.
