An Indian Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet has crashed in the northwest of the country, the Indian Air Force press service reported on social media on September 2.
The plane crashed while he was flying at night. The pilot managed to eject and survived.
“During a routine night flying training in the Barmer sector, an Indian Air Force MiG-29 encountered a serious technical problem due to which the pilot had to eject.”the message says.
There were no reports of damage from the plane crash. The circumstances of the incident are still being clarified.
It is known that the Indian Air Force currently has Mig-29 and Su-30MKI fighters at its disposal.
It is also known that in May last year a MiG-21 crashed during a training flight in northwestern India. The accident was also due to a technical fault.
