The Sevastopol City Court found the city resident guilty of espionage and sentenced her to more than five years in prison, the press service of the city prosecutor’s office reported on September 3.
“The Sevastopol City Court has passed a verdict in a criminal case against a 38-year-old local resident. She was found guilty under Art. 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state), Part 2 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism motivated by political hatred)”the message says.
The attacker reportedly provided the Ukrainian side with information about the deployment and movement of ships, aircraft and equipment of the Russian Armed Forces.
It was established that he also painted Russophobic statements on walls and benches in the city.
It should be noted that the court sentenced the 38-year-old woman to a prison term of 5 years and 3 months in a general regime correctional colony with restriction of liberty for a period of 1 year.
