The widow of Russian-citizen Israeli hostage Aleksanra Lobanov, Michal, who was killed in the Gaza Strip, has refused to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Kan radio reported on September 3.
At the same time, according to the broadcaster, the parents of the murdered man, Oksana and Grigory, met with Netanyahu in Ashkelon.
Let us recall that on August 31, the Israeli army found the bodies of six hostages in one of the tunnels in the Gaza Strip. They were kidnapped during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
All of them died when the army tried to free them. According to the authorities, the militants shot the hostages at point-blank range.
On September 2, the Hamas movement warned the Israeli army in an official statement not to expect to free the hostages by military means.
Following the discovery of the hostages’ bodies, protests by thousands of people have been taking place in Israel for several days. The protesters are demanding that the authorities immediately reach an agreement on a ceasefire and the return of the hostages.
According to Israel, around 100 people remain held by Hamas.
