The front fairing was rolled onto the Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Roscosmos press service reported on September 3.
At the installation and testing facility of Base 254 in Baikonur, specialists have carried out the ship’s author’s inspection and final checks. The placement of about 130 kg of cargo in the ship’s habitable compartments, which will be delivered to the ISS, has also been completed.
The delivered cargo included packages for various experiments, photographic and video equipment, removable storage media and personal belongings of astronauts, fresh food and food rations. After loading, the bow fairing was rolled onto the ship and the assembly and protection unit was prepared for pre-launch control.
The Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft is scheduled to launch on September 11 from site 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome using the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. The planned duration of the 72nd expedition to the ISS is 202 days.
Recall that the 71st Russian long-duration expedition is continuing on the ISS, with Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub and Alexander Grebenkin taking part.
