Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has imposed sanctions against Krasnodar Airport and other Russian aviation infrastructure facilities, as reported on the official website of the President of Ukraine on September 3.
According to the published document, the sanctions affected not only the Krasnodar International Airport JSC, but also such airports as Vnukovo, Pulkovo, Tolmachevo, Koltsovo and Khabarovsk Air Harbor. In addition, Aero-Sheremetyevo JSC, Domodedovo Airfield LLC, Aerostan, Novaport holding company and others were subject to restrictions.
In addition, another decree on sanctions was published on the website of the President of Ukraine, targeting 164 individuals (including 134 Ukrainian citizens) and 11 legal entities, whom the Kiev authorities consider “collaborators.” As a result, the total number of persons subject to sanctions exceeded 320.
It should be noted that Krasnodar airport, like 11 other airports in the frontline regions, has been closed to flights since the beginning of the Northern Military District.
