In the Pervomaysky district of Crimea, a woman has been convicted of fraud with maternity capital, the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the republic reported on September 3.
The materials report that she, being the mother of a minor, applied to a consumer credit cooperative in 2018 with the intention of withdrawing funds from the maternity capital. To do this, the woman gave a power of attorney to an employee of the cooperative, who on her behalf purchased a plot of land in the Chelyabinsk region.
The woman then signed a fictitious loan agreement for the amount of 408 thousand rubles for the construction of a residential building with a cooperative.
In order to receive the maternity capital, she submitted the specified fictitious agreement to the territorial administration of the Russian pension fund.
As a result of these actions, he received more than 400 thousand rubles.
The court, taking into account the position of the State Prosecutor, sentenced the woman to one year of suspended imprisonment with a probation period for the same period.
