The telecom operator Tele2 has changed its name to t2 and rebranded it. This is clear from the materials on the company’s website on September 4.
The license to use the Tele2 brand expires at the end of 2024 and, in this regard, the operator already announced in April its intentions to change its brand at the end of 2024.
As part of the brand refresh, the company introduced five new brands in June and then two more in August, all featuring the new “t2” logo on different backgrounds.
This change is also reflected in the design and logos of the operator’s website, which features a new colour scheme with a horizontal pink stripe on the left.
Recall that Tele2 was previously part of the Swedish company Tele2 AB, but in March 2013 it was acquired by VTB, receiving the rights to the brand for ten years. In 2020, Rostelecom consolidated 100% of Tele2 shares and continued its development under this brand until the current changes.
