After being approved by parliament in October 2020, the bill ran into the President of the Republic. At that point, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa accused the diploma of creating “legal uncertainties”, especially in relation to inheritance.
On November 5, 2021, six months later, the President of the Republic unveiled the diploma that enabled Angela to fulfill the dream of her late husband.
