When the GNR soldiers received a message that a car had been abandoned on the side of highway No. 4 (A4), they immediately drove to the scene. According to the GNR statement, they identified and approached the suspects who were walking on the side of the A4.
In doing due diligence, the military discovered that the abandoned car had been reported as stolen and that the identified man and woman were the perpetrators of the theft, and the guards immediately proceeded to arrest both. The car was confiscated and handed over to the owner.
The detainees were prosecuted and the facts brought to the attention of the judicial court of Vila Flor.
