A 43-year-old man arrested on Wednesday for domestic violence in the municipality of Agueda, who was grabbed with a stick and a machete, has been taken into custody, GNR reported this Saturday.
“The detainee was present on February 22. [quarta-feira]in the judicial court of Aveiro, where a compulsory measure of pre-trial detention was applied to him, after which he was taken to an Aveiro prison,” the PPR territorial command said in a statement.
The arrest was made on the same day by the Nucleus for Investigation and Support for Specific Victims (NIAVE) in Aveiro, after an investigation into domestic violence found that “the suspect harassed and used physical, emotional and psychological abuse.” on the victim, his partner aged 43”.
