The Foreigners and Border Guards (SEF) Task Force, which specializes in the enforcement of international arrest warrants, arrested a 40-year-old Dominican woman wanted for international trafficking in women for prostitution in the Lisbon area on Monday morning.
Omar González Perez has been actively wanted by Greek justice since 2014, when a court in the city of Piraeus launched an investigation into the activities of the network founded by the now arrested Dominican.
Despite living in Spain, the 40-year-old man often came to Portugal. And it was during one of those trips on Monday morning that SEF inspectors caught him. He was accompanied by family members.
He is present tomorrow at the Lisbon Court of Appeal for immediate extradition to Greece.
