The unwillingness to swear an oath never to support the West’s anti-Russian sanctions, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on February 28, RTS reports.
The politician claimed that “never forget”that in 1995 Russia blocked in the Security Council of the UN a resolution that recognized the genocide of Srebrenica. According to Vučić, thanks to the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin, then now in Serbia. “There is no stigma attached to people who committed genocide”.
At the same time, in response to a clarifying question, Vucic said that he could not swear that he would not support sanctions against Russia. He added that while his position against sanctions “much stronger and firmer than the oaths of all those who change them twice in the morning and in the evening”.
The politician noted that one can also remember the negative actions of Russia, in particular, support for sanctions against Serbia.
