Thousands of Palestinians in Israel rallied in the Arab city of Sakhnin in northern Israel to protest against “pogrom perpetrated by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the city of Huwara, south of Nablus, and neighboring towns”, March 1 reports the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Protesters called by the Arab Supreme Committee shouted slogans of condemnation “Aggression against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank” writes a Palestinian news agency.
“We are facing a difficult test in which we must show loyalty to our roots, to our children and to our Palestinian people, ready to face injustice, arson, murder and desecration of holy places.” indicated in the Committee’s statement.
It also emphasizes that this demonstration was just one step among others that the Committee will take in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the West Bank, especially in the city of Huwara and neighboring towns.
