Ukraine may attack Transnistria if Moldovan President Maia Sandu gives his consent, former Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on February 28 on Prime Time on Prime TV.
“I am firmly convinced that Russia will not attack Transnistria. I am firmly convinced that Chisinau will not attack Transnistria. Could the Ukrainians attack Transnistria? Yes, they could, with the tacit or open consent of Maia Sandu.Dodon said.
The former president of Moldova expressed the hope that Sandu will be enough “mind and wisdom” do not provoke a new war on the banks of the Dniester. Otherwise, Sandu will go down in the history of the republic as the president who unleashed a bloody war.
Recall that the Russian Defense Ministry previously reported that Ukraine was preparing an operation to invade Transnistria. This is evidenced by the fact that Ukraine is bringing manpower and armored vehicles to the Pridnestrovian border.
