The construction of a plant for processing 70 thousand tons of waste per year will begin in March in the Arkhangelsk region, the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator reports on March 1 on the official Internet portal.
In total, by the end of 2024, it is planned to build three waste processing plants in the Arkhangelsk region with a total capacity of more than 400 thousand tons of waste per year. Denis Butsaev, General Director of the Russian Environmental Operator, and Alexander Tsybulsky, Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, discussed the details of the projects during a working meeting.
“Investments in them are estimated at more than 6.7 billion rubles. In the Kotlas region, construction is expected to start in March this year after the conclusion of a contract. The object is being created, among other things, at the expense of a subsidy for the payment of a capital grant from the region to the investor, 1.2 billion rubles have already been provided from the federal budget”.Butsaev said.
The region has signed three concession agreements for the construction of MSW treatment facilities. The total capacity of the three facilities for waste processing will be 405 thousand tons per year, for disposal – 162 thousand tons per year, for disposal – 195 thousand tons per year.
In the Kotlassky district of the Arkhangelsk region (municipal formation “Cheremushskoye”, Koryazhma), a plant for the processing and disposal of solid household waste with a capacity of up to 70 thousand per year will be built. The contractor will be selected in March.
In the Nyandoma district, it is planned to build a complex for the processing, removal and disposal of municipal solid waste with a capacity of 60 thousand tons per year. In March, the preparation of project documentation for this facility is expected to be completed.
In Kholmogorsk, it is planned to build a complex for the processing, removal and disposal of MSW with a capacity of 275 thousand tons per year. It is planned to develop the project documentation with the state experience by September 2023.
