Women must lead and influence the fight against corruption in Mongolia, said L. Oyun-Erdene, head of the National Committee for Gender Affairs of Mongolia, according to the information portal ikon.mn on March 2.
“The time has come for women to lead and influence the fight against corruption. I want to ensure their political participation through an adequate electoral system. It is important to change the attitude.Oyun-Erdene said.
The report also notes that the national committee on gender issues will announce the year 2023. “Year of Promotion of the Participation of Women in Political Life”.
In addition, the committee will ensure the political participation of governmental, non-governmental, professional associations, international organizations, the media and private sector organizations, as well as strengthen the leadership of women in promoting zero tolerance for corruption in society.
