The complex of artillery firing in the waters of the Barents Sea was carried out by the crew of the large anti-submarine ship of the Northern Fleet “Vice Admiral Kulakov”, the fleet press service reports on March 2 on the official Internet. Portal of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The combat crews of the ship developed various types of firing from the AK-100 artillery system against visible and closed coastal targets. The targets were located on the coast of the Rybachy Peninsula and mimicked enemy firing points and command posts.
In addition, the crew of a large anti-submarine ship conducted an air defense exercise with artillery fire and anti-aircraft missile systems. The firing was carried out as part of the development of combat training tasks planned for the winter training period.
Combat exercise areas in the Barents Sea are closed to civil shipping and aviation flights for the duration of the exercise. Earlier, “Vice Admiral Kulakov” of the BOD conducted artillery fire on a towed sea shield and figured out the conduct of a naval battle with a simulated enemy.
Recall that the large anti-submarine ship of project 1155 “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” is armed with anti-submarine missile systems, jet bomb installations, as well as torpedo tubes and other types of artillery and missile weapons.
