Bulgarian police discovered the illegal sale of medicines in a food and household chemical store in the Lovech microdistrict “Mladost” on March 2, reports the Bulgarian National Radio.
The police action, together with representatives of the National Revenue Agency, was carried out yesterday after receiving a report on the illegal sale of narcotics in a commercial establishment.
In the course of subsequent prosecution and investigative actions, 500 different types of Turkish-made medicines were found and seized in the store. The illegal sale of food products on the site, the failure to issue a tax receipt, as well as the presence of an employee without a work contract, were also revealed.
Based on the identified violations, an administrative case on unregulated business activities with medicines was initiated.
In the case, preliminary proceedings have been initiated on the fact of a crime committed in Lovech UK, the investigation continues under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
