The assistant sergeant who died in a military vehicle explosion while on a mission to dispose of explosives at the Campo Militar de Santa Margarida in Santarém this Thursday was 47 years old.
Carlos Mota was specialist of the 1st Army Engineer Regiment in Tankos, and has already had several assignments abroad: one to Bosnia and Herzegovina as the commander of the engineering module section and two in Lebanon as the head of the road transport section.
