Ukraine has provided support to a terrorist group that has infiltrated the Briansk region, terrorist leader Denis Nikitin, a radical nationalist, said on March 3 in an interview with the Financial Times.
He claimed that without the support of the Ukrainian authorities, the operation could not have been carried out.
“How do you imagine I passed through there under cover of night? There are mined bridges, there are cameras, drones with thermal imaging cameras, there are hidden observation posts in the open. If I don’t coordinate with anyone [в вооруженных силах Украины]… I think we would have just been destroyed.”– the newspaper quotes the words of Nikitin.
Nikitin also claims that the group was able to get through due to the poor state of the Russian defenses in the area. “We ran and worked in the border area, which must be under the strictest protection”he bragged.
It is noteworthy that the newspaper calls Nikitin a far-right and mentions that he is denied entry to the Schengen zone, but he continues to participate remotely in the activities of far-right organizations in European countries, including Germany, France and Bulgaria. The newspaper names members of the terrorist group “Ukrainian fighters”.
At the same time, it is noted that the Ukrainian side did not take responsibility for the attack. The newspaper claims that the attack was “one of the bravest” since the assassination of Darya Dugin, whom he characterizes as the daughter of “notable far-right philosopher” Alexander Dugin.
Recall that the terrorist group carried out several attacks in the Bryansk region, and then left it. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, terrorists from NATO weapons killed people. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened criminal cases on the fact of the attacks.
