Turkey needs Russian investment to build a gas center, said Chagry Erhan, a member of the Turkish President’s Security and Foreign Policy Council, RIA Novosti reported on March 6.
As Erhan explained, previous negotiations on the construction of the center were suspended due to the earthquake. “All priorities have changed”emphasized.
Although “fundamentally” Turkey needs a center, but now there is no money for it.
“If the Russian Federation has money, start building a center”Erhan said.
Remember that the idea of building a gas center in Turkey was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin after the terrorist attacks on Nord Stream. An international central meeting was scheduled for mid-February.
However, on February 6, a devastating earthquake struck, killing more than 45,000 people in Turkey. The meeting was rescheduled and negotiations suspended.
