The Abrau-Durso holding sold the Chateau d’Avize champagne house, located in France, Pavel Titov, president of Abrau-Durso, said this on March 6, TASS reports.
Titov explained that recently it was difficult for the company to work in France, so the decision was made to sell the Chateau d’Avize champagne house. According to him, the sale of the wine asset took place in January 2022. Titov did not disclose the cost of the transaction or the name of the buyer.
The president of Abrau-Durso said the company kept the Titov & Fils brand. According to him, agreements were made with the new owner on the further production and supply of this brand of wine to Russia. At the same time, Titov pointed out that there could be supply problems due to the restrictions imposed on the importation of premium wines from Europe.
Remember that Abrau-Durso is the main producer of sparkling wines in Russia, its drinks are exported to many countries of the world.
