The first squad of the new Portuguese coach, Spaniard Roberto Martinez, will be announced on 17 March. Portugal will play Liechtenstein and Luxembourg at the start of Euro 2024 qualifying.
Martinez, who took over from Fernando Santos after the 2022 World Cup, has a press conference scheduled for 12:30 at the Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras.
In the Group J qualifiers for next year’s European Championship in Germany, Portugal will face Liechtenstein on 23 March at the José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon, followed by Luxembourg three days later.
The group also includes Iceland, Slovakia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Roberto Martínez, 49, was chosen by the Portuguese Football Federation to replace Fernando Santos, who left his post after the World Cup in Qatar, in which the national team reached the quarter-finals.
Santos has been in charge of the team since 2014, winning Euro 2016 and the first edition of the Liga nas Nações.
Martinez spent the last six years in the Belgian national team, becoming a semi-finalist and taking third place at the 2018 World Cup, which was held in Russia.
Prior to that, the Spanish coach spent his entire career in English football, in which he commanded Everton, Wigan and Swansea City.
