The Russian government will provide about $3.5 million to Belarus to finance activities to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program localization project, said Vadim Pisarevich, head of the sustainable development department at the Foreign Ministry. of Belarus, to journalists in Minsk on March 6, BelTA reports.
Pisarevich said that “In the next three years, all participants in the national architecture will be involved to one degree or another in the implementation of a large project called “Support for the efforts of the Republic of Belarus in nationalization and localization of the Sustainable Development Goals ”.
According to him, the Russian Federation will be the donor of the project, which is ready to provide financial resources to the project in the amount of about $3.5 million.
Pisarevich explained that the project includes activities to support the operation of the national architecture for the management of the SDG process, promote the inclusion of the SDGs in the regional planning system, as well as the development and operation of the collection, monitoring and data evaluation. on the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to Pisarevich, various government bodies will participate in the work of the project, which will work in partnership with representative offices of international organizations.
The implementation of the project will start soon.
