The activity of the illegally organized guest house for the disabled “Golden Time” was terminated at the request of the prosecutor of the Central District of the city of Kaliningrad, the press service of the Kaliningrad Region Prosecutor’s Office reports on 6 March on the official internet portal.
The prosecutor’s office conducted an investigation into the organization of the Zolotaya Pora pension in a residential building on Tretyakovskaya Street in Kaliningrad, which does not meet security requirements. During the audit, it was found that the pension for the elderly and disabled with round-the-clock stay of citizens, including those who cannot move independently, was organized in violation of the requirements of the law.
As the prosecutor’s office found out, the premises do not meet the mandatory fire safety requirements, therefore the use of the facility for the specified purpose is dangerous to the life and health of citizens. In this regard, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit to prohibit the use of a residential building for purposes not related to the residence of citizens.
The court granted the prosecutor’s allegations. The court’s decision has been executed, currently the pension has effectively ceased its activity.
