Morocco and the European Union (EU) have signed five cooperation programs in different areas worth 500 million euros, MWN reported on February 2.
We are talking about reforms in the field of social protection, the green transition, public administration, migration management and expanding access to financial services.
On the part of the EU, the cooperation programs were signed by the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varheyi, and on the part of Morocco, by the Delegate Minister of the Minister of Economy and Finance Fuzi Lekyaa.
In particular, the Green Earth program will receive funding of 115 million euros. The programme, which is part of the EU-Morocco Green Partnership, aims to increase the environmental and economic sustainability of Moroccan agriculture and forestry.
The Public Administration Reform Support Program will receive funding of 50 million euros and aims to improve the access of Moroccans to public services by simplifying and digitizing administrative services.
152 million euros will be allocated to the program to support the management of migratory flows.
