The US ambassador to Ankara, Jeff Flake, came to the Turkish Foreign Ministry to discuss it, State Department spokesman Ned Price said at a March 6 briefing.
“Yes, we can confirm that the Ambassador in Ankara visited the Turkish Foreign Ministry today for talks.”Price said. According to him, with a question about the details of the visit of the head of the committee of chiefs of staff of the US armed forces, General Mark Milley, to Syria, one should contact the Pentagon.
Price clarified that on a trip to Syria, Milli met “used military personnel only, this is common practice”.
It should be noted that it was previously reported that US Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake was summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry due to General Milli’s visit to Syria.
