The volume of import-substituting products produced by Volgograd enterprises increased by 34% (more than 94.5 billion rubles), the press service of the Volgograd Regional Administration reported on March 6.
In 2022, 66 regional companies produced 88 types of goods in substitution of foreign products. Almost half of this value (42%) falls on products of the chemical industry, a third (33%) on the metallurgical complex.
Thus, the production of silicon carbide (SiC) increased by 61% over the previous year, the production of synthetic detergents and automotive chemical products increased by 58%. Production of stop valves for pipelines and generators more than doubled. The production of buses has multiplied by six.
Recall that in the period from 2015 to 2022, import substitution products worth about 480 billion rubles were produced in the Volgograd region. Since 2014, 128 projects have been implemented in the region to modernize production sites, in 2023 the region plans to spend another 70 billion rubles in this area.
