The Senior Officials Meetings of the 3rd session of the Namibia-South Africa Binational Commission (BNC) will take place from 7-9 March at the Safari Court Hotel and Conference Center in the Namibian capital Windhoek, writes the Namibia Economist on 6th of March.
The Namibian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said in a statement that thanks to their shared heritage, strong ties of solidarity and good neighborliness, Namibia and South Africa enjoy a warm and mutually supportive bilateral relationship, as evidenced by the frequency and reciprocity of high level conversations. visits and the intense nature of bilateral cooperation.
The ministry said the BNC meeting will review cooperation in a wide range of areas, including diplomatic and legal, economic, social and defense security, as well as the bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding that Namibia has signed with South Africa, the largest country’s bilateral partner. .
The meetings will be co-chaired by Penda Naanda, Executive Director of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, and Zein Dangor, Director General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa.
The session is expected to pave the way for the ministerial and presidential segments, which will take place as scheduled.
