A fire in a shelter in the village of Muchikhino, Kirovsky district, Leningrad region, killed 40 cats and 15 dogs, said Elena, the owner of the shelter, on March 7 in an interview with the online publication 360tv.ru .
Elena said that the animals lived with her for 10-12 years. During the fire, she was working at the airport, she found out about the tragedy from a neighbor who called her. According to the woman, she did not expect a fire to be possible, since she recently changed the wiring in the house. The shelter owner also said that she was deciding where to put the surviving animals, since the house burned to the ground.

It should be noted that in a video uploaded to social networks from the scene of a fire, a woman said that she had a total of 51 dogs and 40 cats. According to her, the two surviving dogs are very afraid of people.
