German media and the ‘New York Times’ attribute sabotage to the Nord Stream to pro-Ukrainian groups

These media stress that there are no indications that the kyiv government approved the operation.

A joint investigation by several German media confirmed today that the investigations carried out by the German authorities on the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines have found traces that lead to Ukraine, the same day that the newspaper “The New York Times” published similar information.

German investigators have managed to reconstruct how the blasting was carried out and have identified a vessel allegedly used in the operation, rented by a Polish-based company owned by two Ukrainian citizens, according to the media, which includes the public chain “ARD”. .

According to this version, the placement of the explosives was carried out by a team of six people, made up of a captain, two divers, two diving assistants and a doctor, whose nationalities have not been clarified, since they used false passports to rent the boat.

According to these sources, this team set sail on September 6 from the German port of Rostock (north) and the vessel could be located the next day on the Darss peninsula (northeast) and later on the Danish island from Christianso.

On one of the tables of the yacht, which was returned to the owner company without being cleaned, the investigators would have found traces of explosives.

According to sources from the security services of various European countries consulted by said German media, shortly after the attack, in September, a Western secret service already informed allied countries that “a Ukrainian commando” was responsible for the destruction.

Later, other indications appeared in this sense, although for the moment there is no evidence on the intellectual authorship or on who ordered the destruction of the gas pipelines, indicates the “ARD” investigation.

That is why in the circles of the international security services it is not excluded that it could be a “false flag operation”, that is, that the perpetrator has deliberately created clues that point to Ukraine as the culprit.

Also the New York Times

The newspaper “The New York Times” today quoted American intelligence sources who affirm that there is evidence that points to a pro-Ukrainian group and contrary to Russian President Vladimir Putin, although at the same time they stress that there are no indications that the Kiev government was aware of or approved the operation.

The Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were not carrying gas when they were blown up, as Russia had interrupted the flow of gas through the former throughout the summer, officially due to technical problems, while the latter had never come online.

The countries bordering the Baltic have all claimed that it was deliberate sabotage, but so far there has been no official statement on the results of the investigations.
