The Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media submitted a draft resolution for discussion, which proposes increasing the term for the provision of the Accessible Internet service to seven days, the department reported on the Federal Projects Portal. According to the Draft, which should enter into force on September 1, 2023, subscribers who are citizens of the Russian Federation can get free Internet access to sites included in the list of socially significant national information resources for 7 days. .
Access is provided to authorized subscribers through the personal account of a mobile operator or through a single portal of state and municipal services with authorization through a unique identification system.
Let us remember that the possibility of free access to socially significant information resources for a period of 24 hours has been in force since December 31, 2021 in accordance with Resolutions N 2607 “On the Approval of the Regulations for the Provision of Communication Services for Data transfer”.
The list of important today includes two Internet resources: the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (Gosuslugi) and the VKontakte social network.
Experts from the IT community believe that the Odnoklassniki social network can be added to the list, but they do not mention the dates when this can happen.
